What happened in the fourth quarter? The Patriots defense completely gave up! I don’t know if it was because the Patriots were up 31-3 heading into the fourth quarter, or if the defense was just tired. Bill Belichick will not be happy with this win; there are few things he hates more than when a team gives up late in a game. The only other thing the Patriots didn’t do well was that they got off to another slow start, even thought they were playing the the now 0-12 Colts who give up the most first quarter points in the league. Other than those two things, the Patriots played exceptionally well. Rob Gronkowski had another monster day, going for 64 yards, two receiving touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown. Tom Brady threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns. The Patriots pass defense again showed some flaws, letting Dan Orlovsky throw for 353 yards and two scores. Dan Orlovsky hasn’t started a game since he was with the 0-16 Lions in 2008. There were many of pluses and minuses in this game, and hopefully Bill Belichick can set the Patriots straight before they play the Washington Redskins next Sunday at 1pm ET.
